The Learning Tree Day Nursery Philosophy

The Learning Tree Day Nursery takes great care to carefully produce and preserve an atmosphere that would satisfy your child's needs.

We have adopted a flexible approach to aid the children as they grow and develop.

In doing so we will provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment for children from 3 months to the age of five years.

We will encourage children to develop and reach their full potential in every aspect of their development, whatever their abilities.

The nursery will provide a broad and balanced education through play, which will cover all areas of learning. We will also recognise each child as an individual and will develop each child's knowledge, understanding and skills to his/her full potential.

We will also provide equal access and opportunities regardless of race, gender, creed or ability. Children will be encouraged to develop their emotional and social skills through showing respect for their peers whilst learning to value and care for the environment.

Working in Partnership with Parents

Parents & carers hold key information and have a critical role to play in their children's up bringing. They have unique strengths, knowledge and experience to contribute to the shared view of a child's needs and the best ways of supporting them. It is therefore essential that we actively seek to work with parents & carers and value the contribution they make.

The Learning Tree Day Nursery takes account of parents & carers  wishes, feelings and perspectives on their children's development. This is particularly so when a child has special educational needs. We believe that all parents & carers of children with special educational needs should be treated as partners.

All parents & carers will be welcome to visit the nursery at any time. If a parent or carer wishes to speak to their child's keyworker in detail at any other time, then they are able to do so by arranging an appointment.

Parent & carers have full access to their child's records and the nursery's policies and procedures whenever they request.
